Position of the piston within the tank is detected by a Hall effect sensor pre-fitted on a separate board and connected to ballast tank switch UNIpro by a three-wire lead. Hall sensor is attached to micro switch S1.
The Hall effect sensor is actuated by magnets which are glued (with superglue) to the middle gear wheel.

Brass Outboard Tubing Connector for PVC or similar hoses with inner diameter (id.) of 6 mm. Ideal as water in-/outlet for piston tanks etc.

Simple installation: Just drill a hole in the hull (bore 8-9 mm) and insert connector from the outboard side so that the collar fits snuggly against the outside of the hull. Glue with Epoxy or Polyester resin. Leave to set. Then place one end of the tubing in warm water and press it onto the connector (overlap approx. 1 cm / 0.5"). If used with PVC-hose item no. 3247-6 further fastening of the hose is not required.
